I made this blog for you.
So don't be an ungrateful lot -- leave comments.

Real quick update as I am tired and have a lot going on at the moment…

Started working with the JP company this week - on April 1st, no less. Everyone there is totally great, and seem to be very happy I am there. We already got the first of two phases for my first project with them done - and was received very well by the client… NEC. Yep, now that it has launched, I can link to what I did - which was the video. (Yes, that is my voice.)

Turns out that we will also be doing some global work for a huge electronics company, the Japanese re-branding (of sorts) and promotional work for a famous alcohol company, along with some revitalising of the design and web presence for Japan’s biggest university. (Again, I can’t say specifics until things launch.) We’ve also got some other smaller projects for other clients in the wings, but the big projects seem super exciting - especially since my initial ideas have been received well, and without arbitrary nay-saying due to inter-company political bullshit. (It’s nice to be the top-dog, creatively.) So all in all, work seems to be very promising and I definitely feel as though merging with them was the right move. I’ll also be in on the board of director’s meetings next week to start proposing my concepts for the new corporate identity for both the company with whom I have joined as well as the creative company we are forming.

The baby seems to be growing well, however Momoko ran herself a little too hard earlier this week and is having some fatiguing issues. Hopefully she will get the rest she needs to she can be 5 x 5 again soon. In the meantime, I am trying to help pick up the slack around the house when I can. It isn’t too easy, given that I am gone all day and well into the night - and seeing something which needs cleaning is a major pet peeve for Momoko. Hopefully she can bear with the house not being at 100% for a while.

Also, I had some kidney issues today, but with a hospital right across the street from my office, it makes seeing to my medical problems a bit less of a hassle than it could be. I was also fortunate enough to have my friend / co-worker go with me to help me with some Japanese writing. Seems as though I have a new stone / batch of stones poised for attack, so I am none too excited about that.

But everything must be in balance.
